Heading into the holiday season as either a new or expecting mom (planned or unplanned!) can be particularly difficult. But this season can also be so sweet with the right support. Here are ways you can encourage and build up women and men around you facing unexpected circumstances.

• Offer a listening ear
• Ask how they would be best supported
• Offer childcare
• Pray, pray, pray

This month's team member highlight is Stefania Fox!

Stefania has been serving as the Assistant Director of our Cohoes Center. She loves offering a space where woman can slow down and talk through their situation while she offers a listening ear.

When she's not at Alpha, you'll likely find her gardening - her happy place! Thank you, Stefania, for all you do to serve our clients and team members so well! We appreciate you!!

As the Lord continues to move through Alpha, we are reminded how deeply your prayers sustain this ministry. Please join us in lifting up these requests:

+ For a new mom who is battling postpartum depression, recovering from a traumatic delivery, and feeling isolated. Pray that the Lord would comfort her, surround her with supportive moms, and bring rest to her weary soul.

+ For an upcoming opportunity with a local Bennington market, where customers can donate their change to support Alpha. Pray for favor, awareness, and hearts moved to give as this launches in the new year.

+ For a family at our Cohoes center whose baby was born with severe complications. Pray for healing, endurance, and the peace that only God can bring through the road ahead.

+ For a new partnership with the Knights of Columbus at RPI. Pray that this connection would open doors to share Alpha’s mission and bring awareness to young hearts and minds.

+ For continued open doors into schools and new community spaces — where we can meet women, men, and families right where they are with hope and truth.

+ Our Cohoes center recently hosted an event where Bibles, the Gospel of John, and Alpha connect cards were given out. Pray that God’s Word takes root in every heart that received it.

+ For one of our moms who just welcomed her baby last week. She’s fighting for sobriety and facing a new breast cancer diagnosis. Please pray for her strength, healing, and for God’s presence to carry her through.

+ And finally, pray that the Lord would continue to allow us to speak Life into every woman and man who walks through our doors.

We are always blown away by the generosity of our donors and volunteers! We not only got a bunch of donations, but the members of Coila Church dropped off dozens of handwritten notes for our expecting moms and dads.

These mean so much to our clients, and we love seeing their faces when they realize someone was thinking and praying for them!

This month's team member highlight is Elsa Lawry, our JMB Ultrasound Nurse Manager!

We are SO grateful for all that Elsa does to serve our clients as they walk through unplanned pregnancies. Elsa loves this unique side of nursing that allows her to encourage and educate women.

She's also a mom herself and loves spending time with her precious daughter. We're so thankful for all you do, Elsa!

Our Bennington Banquet this week was AMAZING. Thank you to everyone who came out to hear what the Lord is doing at Alpha.

We hope you were blessed by the client testimonies and many praise reports from the last several months. Here are just a few highlights from the evening:

+ Over 80 friends from Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York gathered at Eagle’s Haven in Petersburgh, NY, to celebrate all that God is doing through Alpha!
+ Guests heard directly from our staff and a Bennington client as they shared powerful stories of hope, transformation, and the lives changed through Alpha’s mission.
+ The generosity in the room was truly overwhelming—your support was felt in every moment!

Thank you for showing up, for giving, and for saying yes to how God has called you to be part of Alpha’s story. We are more grateful than you’ll ever know!

We get it...it can sometimes feel like our giving is fruitless and our work is endless. But FRIENDS!! We cling to this hope. We have been promised to reap a harvest. And we have already seen the Lord at work in SO many ways.

Every diaper packed, every class taught, every prayer whispered—it all matters. ❤️

Thank you for standing with us in this good work and helping us sow seeds of hope that will bear fruit for generations.

Our staff was asked, “Why are you at Alpha?”

The overwhelming answer was simple: “Because every life matters. Because moms deserve hope. Because God called me here.”

Every heartbeat of this ministry exists because of staff who serve faithfully — and because of donors like you who make it possible. Thank you for fueling their “why.”

We just have to pause and praise God for what He’s doing at Alpha right now — your prayers and support are truly making a difference!

• One of our clients, who is expecting, recently found the strength to leave an unhealthy and unsupportive relationship. Through tears, she said, “This baby will make me a better person.” What courage! Please join us in praying that God continues to surround her with peace, protection, and loving community as she steps into this new season.

• Another sweet mom came to us carrying both hope and heartache—she recently found out she’s pregnant again after experiencing a miscarriage last year. Even in her worry, she is choosing to trust that God will carry her through one day at a time. What a beautiful testimony of faith.

• And we are celebrating 54 babies born already in 2025! Many of these little ones were once at risk of being lost to abortion—but God had another plan. Each life is a miracle, and we’re praying that every one of these children grows healthy, strong, and surrounded by God’s love.

We’re SO deeply grateful for how God is breaking chains, healing hearts, and giving our staff the words to speak life and hope. Thank you for standing with us in this mission—you are a part of every story of redemption that walks through our doors.

Let’s keep praying and believing for even more lives changed!
