🏥 Last week, we celebrated our amazing nurses all week long with fun, gratitude and a few sweet treats. Wednesday started with free cinnamon rolls, blessing of the hands and Nothing Bundt Cakes! On Thursday, Westside Country Fashions stopped by for nurses and caregivers to shop. Friday was full of teamwork. The day started by nurses greeting students at high-five Friday. Nurses gathered in Stanberry for a service project to clean up an intersection by pulling weeds, adding plants and spreading new mulch to freshen up the area. Tiger Nutrition stopped by for caregivers to enjoy a free loaded tea, and our weekend warriors were offered a free fountain drink. On Monday, The Eleven popped in to offer refreshing drinks for nurses and caregivers. To wrap up Nurses Week, nurses and leadership gathered for the annual Nurse Excellence Dinner and Reception. 🩺

“Nurses’ Week gave us a chance to honor the resilience of our nurses, the true backbone of patient care,” says Lori Bishop, RN and director of nursing at Mosaic Medical Center - Albany. “It was a time to come together, share our stories, celebrate and recognize the incredible support that surrounds the work we do every day. Thank you to Mosaic and our amazing nurses for all that they do!”

We are excited to announce that Music at the Market presented by BTC Bank is back for another summer! On select Thursdays we will have free, local music performances in Smith Street Park. The Albany Square Farmers Market will open at 5 pm with music to follow at 5:30. We will also have a quick dinner option available these nights if you're headed to the ballfield. Dust off your lawn chair and meet us downtown!

Last week, students from across the area gathered at the Hundley-Whaley Extension & Education Center in Albany for an educational safety day event.

Our caregivers, Jennifer Reiff, community health events coordinator and Ashley Mattson, RN, spent time with students sharing important tips on staying safe outdoors. From the dos and don’ts of sunscreen and bug spray to how to properly check for ticks. These lessons help kids stay healthy while enjoying the outdoors.

Teaching these habits early makes a big difference, and we’re proud to be part of building safer, healthier communities! 💚

Last week, Mosaic Medical Center – Albany hosted its annual caregiver cookout. Each year, members of the administration team come together to serve a variety of grilled favorites, including hamburgers, pineapple and assorted vegetables. Sweet treats were also provided thanks to Mosaic Foundation – Albany. This long-standing tradition is a small way to show appreciation for the dedication and hard work of Mosaic caregivers, while also giving them an opportunity to reconnect and enjoy time together.

“Our tradition of preparing and serving a healthy, delicious meal to celebrate our caregivers, volunteers, physicians and APPs is something we take great pride in,” says Katie Dias, DO, president of Mosaic Medical Center – Albany. “And it's always great to welcome our leaders from Maryville and St. Joe to join in the preparation, serving and enjoying the meal.”

Caregivers from Mosaic Family Care – Albany, New Hampton, Grant City and Stanberry, along with caregivers from the medical center, gathered for the annual event.
