MHANYS CEO Glenn Liebman was honored to attend NAMI New York State's annual education conference. The theme for this year's conference: Reimagining Recovery – Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges. The conference featured an inspiring day of speakers and presentations aimed at raising awareness, empowering individuals, and supporting families and partners in the community. Kudos to Sharon, Matt and the entire NAMI NYS team on a great event with hundreds in attendance. Things have surely grown in the 25 years since I've been there; in positive and inspiring ways. All of it attesting to the collective commitment and passion for community mental health.

Hundreds of IDD advocates came to the Capitol Building today rallying for the 7.8% investment in developmental disabilities, behavioral health and human services. The Capitol Building's Second Floor, where the Governor's office is located, was filled with people chanting, "We Can’t Wait for 7.8!”
