Today, on the Day of (No) Silence, LGBTQ+ students and allies from across the country unite to protest the effects of harassment in schools. This day was transitioned by GLSEN from Day of Silence to Day of (No) silence to amplify the voices of the community.

At Care Design NY, it is one of our core values to create an inclusive environment everyone can thrive in. As allies, we stand together to support LGBTQ+ students from every walk of life.

Over the past couple of months, we have been urging lawmakers to restore CCOs, including Care Design NY, to the Human Services Targeted Inflationary Increase so care management agencies can help individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Brittany Miske, alongside Ron Colavito and Kari Philips from Access: Supports For Living, will explore how collaborative approaches can help identify and address social, medical, and behavioral health needs.

Later in the afternoon, Scott Kohn and Colleen Retenski, will focus their session on the powerful reminder that unity isn’t about sameness, but about blending our unique strengths to achieve something greater together.

This April we're raising awareness about health challenges that impact certain racial and ethnic groups during National Minority Health Month. When we focus on improving health outcomes through education and early detection, we can help make a change.

At Care Design NY, it’s our goal to make healthcare available to everyone so every individual has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

2025 presented the world with policy uncertainty and change, however, we remained a steady force for individuals with I/DD across New York State.

This steady force began from within — Partnership Solutions, our management services organization, created the Leadership Academy to help frontline supervisors become more effective people managers. In 2025, we boosted the Leadership Academy to help frontline supervisors become more effective people managers while providing current and emerging leaders practical tools to guide teams and support staff through four different levels.

Nearly two-thirds of eligible managers have completed 14 courses and attained their Level 1 badge.

Did you know that 1 in 31 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with autism?

April is Autism Acceptance Month — a time to embrace understanding, inclusion and respect. For parents, caregivers and advocates, creating inclusive spaces and fostering understanding is key to supporting individuals with autism.

The team at Care Design NY is here to support and ensure every child and family has access to resources, care and safe environments. đź’›

We need YOUR support! đź«‚

New York’s CCOs, including Care Design NY, are excluded from the state’s Executive Budget proposal. We are urging lawmakers to restore CCOs to the Human Services Targeted Inflationary Increase so care management agencies can help individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) connect to services and plan for the future.
