My initial goal with every client is to build a trusting relationship rooted in mutual respect and the belief that while I bring a valuable and helpful position to the therapeutic process, each of my clients is the expert in their own life, mind, and experiences. My work is trauma-informed and based on humanistic and feminist perspectives that center client expertise, explorations of power and marginalization, creativity, and collaboration to change lives. It is important to me to recognize the impact of society and systems on our lives and to help my clients identify where and how they can make changes or view things from new perspectives to improve their overall well-being.
