Compassionate and authentic Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing individual psychotherapy to adults in Albany (in person) and across the state of New York (virtually). My name is Erin Beauregard, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy services to adults in the Capital District and across New York State. I use a flexible approach in therapy, informed by my knowledge, training, and experience as a therapist and a person. My initial goal with every client is to build a trusting relationship rooted in mutual respect and the belief that while I bring a valuable and helpful position to the therapeutic process, each of my clients is the expert in their own life, mind, and experiences. My work is trauma-informed and based on humanistic and feminist perspectives that center client expertise, explorations of power and marginalization, creativity, and collaboration to change lives. It is important to me to recognize the impact of society and systems on our lives and to help my clients identify where and how they can make changes or view things from new perspectives to improve their overall well-being.
