The Albany-based Samaritan Evergreen Hospice office supports patients and their families who reside in in Benton, Linn, Marion and Polk counties.

Samaritan Evergreen Hospice serves patients who are near the end of life. With a focus on patient comfort and family support, a dedicated hospice team provides skilled nursing care, pain management, spiritual support, bereavement support, medication, and stress management. Serving the valley and coast and surrounding communities in Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk and Tillamook counties, services are available in the comfort of your home, or at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany.

Volunteer Spotlight!! Meet Hospice Volunteer Ashley Pope!

Ashley has been a volunteer with Samaritan Evergreen since May 2024. She joined for many reasons, but mostly because of the experience her family had with their grandmother utilizing hospice in 2020. “I wanted to be a part of an organization that provided consistent, compassionate care not only to patients but to the families in need of support and comfort” - Ashley

Ashley is a firm believer in importance of volunteerism and community care, “As a volunteer I have been given the opportunity to help with respite care for families, as well as compassionate visits for patients” She also participated in the flower crafting event at this year's Honor a Loved One, Build a Bouquet at the Hospice House in Albany.

Her favorite part about volunteering is the connections she has made with the families. Thank you, Ashley, for volunteering for Samaritan Evergreen Hospice.

Dr. Emily Looney believes in the small comforts like music, warmth and connection. 🎵

As Medical Director of Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, she’s seen how donations help make those moments possible through massage therapy, music and programs that bring peace to patients and families.

She gives back through annual donations, serves on the Clinician Advisory Council and shares her love of music by performing at hospice events with her woodwind group. 🎷
