Milton Dickfoss

Milton Dickfoss passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, two days shy of his 93rd birthday.

Born in South Dakota in 1933, he was the only son of the late Adolph and Emma Dickfoss. His family later moved to West Camp, NY, surviving the dust bowl.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. Upon his return home, he attended college in Indiana, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.

He married Anneliese in 1960.

He went on to work for Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, NY and was instrumental in working on the Lunar Module (LEM), which landed on the moon with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969, as well as subsequent missions. While working on the LEM, he perfected a way of keeping the windows from fogging up in the coldness of space. This earned him a coveted Silver Snoopy award from Astronaut Fred Haise.

In 1970, he moved his family to the Schenectady area, where they found home and they remained for the duration of his life.

He remained active in the engineering field and held several jobs, including Systomation, Fault Finders, Factron, and Schlumberger, all involved in making fixtures that tested printed circuit boards.

Milton was a member of the New Apostolic Church since birth and has been a constant attendee of the Congregation on Curry Rd.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Anneliese Dickfoss; his two children, William Dickfoss and Susan Bauer (Bruce); his two granddaughters, Megan McLachlan (Connor) and Laura Bauer (Matthew); and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the New Apostolic Church, 2389 Curry Road, Schenectady. Visitation will take place from 9:30 am – 10:30 am, with a Service to begin at 11:00 am.

Erin C. Couture

Latham - It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Erin Couture, 40, on January 1, in Latham, New York. Her unexpected departure leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who were lucky to know and love her.

Born on May 24, 1985, in Schenectady, New York, Erin was a vibrant soul who brought immense joy and laughter to everyone around her. A 2003 graduate of Schenectady High School, she continued her education at The College of Saint Rose, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Public Communication, and later received her Master’s degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University. Erin dedicated her professional life to helping others, serving in various roles within the North Colonie School District before becoming an Academic Advisor and the Director of Student Experiences for the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity at the University at Albany. Her work reflected who she was at her core—someone deeply invested in guiding, supporting, and uplifting others.

Yet, no title or accomplishment ever meant more to Erin than being a mother. Her greatest pride, joy, and purpose were her two sons, Jackson and Griffin. She was there for every practice, every game, every gymnastics competition, and every long car ride—cheering loudly and making every moment feel special. Family trips to Myrtle Beach, favorite cities like Boston and Philadelphia, spontaneous adventures, Ed Sheeran concerts, and even browsing college campuses wherever they traveled were moments she treasured deeply. What mattered most to Erin was not where they were, but that they were together, even if it meant enduring pickleball games she was admittedly terrible at, with a smile and a laugh that made it worthwhile.

Erin’s life was filled with love and unwavering support of others. Her sincerity and compassion for others made everyone she came in contact with feel welcomed, provided warmth, and a sense of comfort that will leave an impact on those around her. Her kindness left a lasting impression that will continue to echo through the lives she touched.

Erin is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 15 years, Garrett; her cherished sons, Jackson and Griffin; parents, Robin and Kevin King; grandmother Betty Cote; father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Margarete Couture; sister-in-law, Aileen (Wilson) McCray; nephew and niece, Hollis and Etta McCray; cousin and special friend Bryan Rohrer; chosen sister and brother, Angela (Andy) Mink and Chris (Jenna) Caruso; godson, Luke Mink; and a wide circle of treasured friends and family. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Helen King, and grandfather, Raymond Cote.

Erin’s love lives on—in her boys, in her family, and in the countless lives she shaped through her kindness, laughter, and devotion.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Erin’s family on Thursday, January 08, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at St Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville. (NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION). A Celebration of Erin’s life will commence at 6:00 pm at the Church. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.CannonFuneral.com

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe page established in support of Garrett, Jackson, and Griffin as they navigate the days, months, and years ahead. https://gofund.me/3d8018dfa

As we move into a new year, we know this transition can feel especially heavy for those who are grieving. While the calendar turns and the world speaks of fresh beginnings, many families are stepping into a year their loved one will never share, and that can be incredibly hard.

Please know that it’s okay to feel reluctant, uncertain, or even overwhelmed during this time. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and there is no “right” way to enter a new year after loss.

Our hearts remain with you, just as they were when we first had the honor of serving your family. We are wishing peace for you and your family this new year.

Albert F. Paolucci

Albany - On December 25, 2025, Albert Francis Paolucci, 98, of Albany, New York, passed away after a long illness.

Born and raised in Albany, Albert was the son of Thomas and Mary Paolucci (Leone), the fourth of seven children. He was a tireless worker, building a career around home remodeling and flooring. He had a creative eye which was expressed in his work.

Albert took great pride in his home, which he remodeled continuously. It expanded over the years from a 900-square-foot prefabricated bungalow to a two-story duplex. His landscaping was impeccable, including abundant and intricate vegetable and flower gardens. He was the snappiest of dressers and was known for his style.

He also served as a Community Liaison in the office of State Assemblyman Jack McEnany. He was President and Chairman of the Board of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society for 10 years and the first Chairman of the Columbus Day and Italian Festival in Albany.

He was the devoted grandfather of Zachary Seeskin (Lindsey Seeskin), Abigail Seeskin (Rachel Stebing), and Nathaniel Seeskin (Soham Sinha), and cherished great-grandfather of Ariel Seeskin, Ansel Stebing, and Naomi Seeskin. He was the proud uncle and great-uncle of many. The devotion of all of his nieces and nephews—but particularly Rachel Rappazzo, David Rappazzo, and Leona Shelton—is very gratefully acknowledged.

Albert was predeceased by his three older siblings, Joseph Paolucci (Helen Paolucci, also deceased), Palma Guiffre (Joseph Giuffre, also deceased), and John Paolucci (Josie Paolucci), and by his younger sister Lucy Bremm (John Bremm, also deceased) and brother, Thomas Paolucci (Barbara Paolucci, also deceased). He is survived by his youngest sister, Angela Riani (Barry Riani, deceased).

His family would also like to acknowledge the devotion of his medical provider, Miranda Dunham, NP, and her family for their care shown to both Mom and Dad.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
