For years, I thought I was doing everything right for my teeth—brushing, flossing, avoiding too much sugar. And yet, I kept getting cavities. 😩

I remember sitting in the dentist’s chair, frustrated and confused, thinking, "What more can I possibly do?"

Turns out, the problem wasn’t my brushing habits… it was my gut health.

❌ Myth: Cavities happen because you eat too much sugar.
✅ Truth: Cavities are a sign of gut imbalances, mineral deficiencies, and oral microbiome issues—not just sugar overload!

When I finally ran lab tests, I discovered I had gut dysbiosis—an imbalance of good and bad bacteria in my gut, which was also affecting my oral microbiome. My body wasn’t absorbing minerals properly, which meant my teeth weren’t getting the nutrients they needed to stay strong.

Here’s a little secret I’ve learned (the hard way, of course 😅): It’s not about being perfect every day. It’s about building small, consistent habits that actually work. 🙌

You don’t need to overhaul your entire routine overnight or have picture-perfect days to make progress. Some days, it’s just about drinking a little more water 💧, getting outside for fresh air 🌿, or taking 5 minutes to yourself before the chaos begins. Those small wins? They add up.
