Would you like to help encourage others that are working to overcome challenges in their lives?

Individuals, Couples, Families, Church Groups, Schools, and Businesses are all welcome yo participate 🤗

What to do…..
1. Paint a rock (you can write words of encouragement on it or simply paint one with joyful colors 🎨🖌️)

2. Bring your painted rock(s) to us at Creative Counseling & Learning Solutions; PLLC (2620 W Main St. Albemarle, NC) and we will spray it with weather proof clear paint and place it in our Kindness Garden.

3. If you would like to add anything additional to our Kindness Garden, please contact us at 980-581-8144 and we can help you find a way to add your personal touch to help you communicate your support for those we serve❣️

We are excited to introduce you to our new Clinical Intern, Lina Spencer❣️

Lina is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling after a career in healthcare. She is passionate about taking an empathetic and collaborative approach towards helping her clients create improved well-being in their lives. Lina integrates evidence-based techniques from multiple schools of thought, but her personal counseling style is primarily informed by cognitive behavioral theory and choice theory. Outside of the practice Lina can typically be found gardening, reading a good book, oil painting, and playing the piano or harp.

Please help us welcome Lina to our practice! We are so excited to have her on our Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions team ❤️

We can show up as an Expert Witness
We can show up as a personal witness
We can show up for emotional support
We can attend meetings to assist our clients with understanding the legal processes that may be involved in their case

Please help us welcome one of our new Clinical Mental Health Interns.... Caroline Merrick!!!!!

Caroline received her bachelor's degree in psychology from UNC Asheville and is currently pursuing her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Campbell University. Caroline is excited to be working as an intern at Creative Counseling. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate the challenges, hardships, and difficult circumstances that life throws at them. Caroline embraces a holistic and person-centered approach to counseling and loves incorporating creative modalities into her style such as expressive arts therapy. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and tv shows with her husband and two cats, playing piano, and reading.

We are super excited about Caroline joining our team at Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions ❣️

🐴Hear ye! Hear ye! We are excited to announce that we are now excepting new participants to our well-known and highly successful program 🐴STABLE RELATIONSHIPS🐴. Do your usual parenting skills not seem to correct your child’s unwanted behaviors? Do you feel exhausted at constantly having to correct your child? Are your child’s behaviors causing disruptions at school, daycare, in the community, or at home? This program is for parents to learn therapeutic strategies that can assist them with parenting their school-aged children. This ISN’T a parenting skills class. We recognize that parents are the experts of their families. We simply aim to empower the parents/caregivers with additional skills that can help them enhance their relationships with their children. In 10 parent small group sessions (with a ground-based activity with our horses) and 10 small group sessions for the kids (also with a ground-based activity with our horses) , you and your children will learn and practice skills that’ll enhance your relationship with one another. Your kids will also learn how to emotionally regulate, increase their social skills, increase empathy, and increase respect for authority.
