Established in 2008, Albemarle Pilates and Yoga has evolved over the years, but one thing has remained constant — our heart. Owned and operated by the same dedicated teacher, Cindy Brewer Purser, since day one, our studio has gone through beautiful transformations, and today, we’re proud to call a light-filled, spacious new location home. We offer a thoughtfully curated range of classes including Pilates Reformer groups, Aerial Yoga, Barre, Heated Yoga, Yoga and Pilates Mat classes, as well as private and semi-private sessions — all led by a small, well-trained, and experienced teaching team. With just three instructors, we’re able to maintain a high level of consistency, care, and personal attention in every class. Whether you’re brand new or deepening your practice, we have flexible class packages and memberships to support your goals, your body, and your schedule.

Our Story

The Yoga Pilates Barre, owned by Cindy Purser, is a studio located in a historic house in Downtown Albemarle, NC. We offer a full schedule of group classes along with private and semi-private sessions by appointment in Yoga, Pilates and Barre Fitness. Our focus is on guiding all of our students to find their own practice through the use of props and modifications. We have classes for all levels and abilities and our First Time Student Special is only $10 for a 2 Week Unlimited Pass.

We also offer Life Coaching and Yoga Therapy for those looking for achieving goals, healing and living a happier and healthier life.
