Our Wilmington participants at Port City Academy have been soaking up all the holiday cheer! 🎄☕🍪

From making festive cocoa jars to share with their families to baking cookies that were definitely enjoyed at the end, this season has been full of creativity, laughter, and sweet moments. We love seeing everyone learning new skills, spreading joy, and celebrating the holidays together. What a fun and festive way to make memories!

We had a fabulous time at our holiday outing last week at Jay’s Downtowner Restaurant! The food was delicious and the fellowship even better. A special thank you to GHA Staff for coordinating and helping plan such a fun event. We also appreciate the staff at Jay’s Restaurant for making our experience enjoyable and delicious!

Instead of candy or trinkets, each day brings a brand-new holiday trivia question. From festive facts to merry mysteries, the fun is definitely in the guessing!

A huge thank you to the Morrell Family and to the Historic Rialto Theatre in Raleigh for hosting this morning’s special showing of Home Alone 2! 🎬 From the aroma of freshly popped popcorn drifting through the theater, to festive kids’ crafts, laughter, and plenty of fellowship, it was truly a wonderful way to kick off the season.

We are also incredibly grateful for the generous donations made to GHA Autism Supports! Your kindness helps us continue our mission of supporting individuals and families in meaningful ways. Thank you to everyone who joined us—a great time was had by all! 🎄✨🎄

🎄✨ Join Us at the YMCA Children’s Christmas Shop this Saturday! ✨🎄

GHA Autism Supports and our Creative Arts Program are excited to share that we will have a booth at the YMCA Children’s Christmas Shop this Saturday, December 6th, from 9 AM to 1 PM!

This festive event, sponsored by the Stanly County Family YMCA, will be held at the YMCA Pavilion in Albemarle — a perfect spot to kick off your holiday shopping. 🎁

At our booth, you’ll find a beautiful selection of handcrafted fused glass pieces — including ornaments, magnets and necklaces — all created by the talented individuals we support through our Creative Arts Program. 💙

Best of all, every item is $10 or less!

Our individuals in Wilmington enjoyed a wonderful day filled with great food, warm fellowship, and all the traditions that make this season so special. From the delicious Thanksgiving meal to the joy shared around the table, it was a beautiful reminder of the importance of community, gratitude, and togetherness! ❤️🦃❤️

Our GHA family enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal together this past week. It was a great time to gather and enjoy delicious food and fellowship with everyone. A special thank you to our Residential Programs and Second Street Sundries for preparing food, Immanuel Baptist Church for allowing us to use their facility, Direct Care & Central Office staff for their help during the event, and Tina Sturdivant for coordinating a wonderful meal together! It’s always fun to gather and create special memories together.

What a wonderful night in Wilmington!

On November 12th, we gathered at the Harrelson Center Annex for a special Partnership Appreciation Dinner celebrating the individuals we serve, their families, our dedicated staff, employers, clinicians, and community partners. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and an evening filled with gratitude, connection, and celebration of the amazing partnerships that make our work possible! Special thanks to our incredible staff for organizing such a meaningful event!

On Thursday, November 13th, we celebrated our amazing team in Stanly County with a wonderful Staff Appreciation Day! From fun, food, and fellowship to plenty of laughter and some very competitive rounds of bingo, a great time was had by all! 🎉🎉🎉

Our Wilmington residents had an awesome time at the Salty Ceramics pottery studio! Each person got to roll up their sleeves, get creative, and design their own unique pottery masterpiece. It was such a fun and hands-on outing full of smiles, laughter, and artistic expression! 🖌️💙🖌️
