✨🌿✨ Massage & Autoimmune disorders✨🌿✨
As someone living with an autoimmune condition myself, I know how exhausting it can be when your own body feels like it’s working against you. The chronic pain, the flare-ups, the constant balancing act of stress and symptoms. It’s something you can only truly understand when you’re living it.
That’s why massage therapy is so much more than just a career for me.It’s a passion deeply rooted in personal experience. I’ve seen firsthand how the power of safe, mindful touch can calm the nervous system, ease tension, and give the body a moment of peace when it needs it most.
Massage isn’t a magic fix, but it is a space where your body gets to feel cared for, supported, and listened to. Massage can make the unbearable days bearable.
To my fellow autoimmune warriors! I see you, I commend you, and my hands are here to support you on your journey. You got this!
✨🌿 ✨Fun Fact/Awareness✨🌿✨
✨ 🌿Autoimmune diseases are not rare over 50 millions Americans are living with one.
✨ 🌿They can affect anyone, at any age and often come without warning.
✨ 🌿Many autoimmune conditions are “invisible”meaning the person may “look fine” but is silently battling pain, fatigue, and more.
✨ 🌿There is no cure for most autoimmune diseases, and treatments are often about managing the pain not fixing the cause.
✨ 🌿A lot of people with autoimmune conditions suffer in silence because it’s hard to explain or they feel like a burden.
✨🌿✨How You Can Help Someone With an Autoimmune Condition?✨🌿✨
✨🌿Believe them- Even when you can’t see it or understand it.
✨🌿Be a safe space-Offer a safe space to rest or cancel plans without guilt.
✨🌿Be patient- With the brain fog, low energy, and flare-ups patience and understanding is huge.
✨🌿Ask questions- Ask what they need, but don’t force them to explain everything.
✨🌿Small gestures of care (like a cozy blanket, a ride, or even just a “thinking of you” text) go a long way.
✨🌿Encouragement- encourage body-positive care spaces like gentle massage, movement, and rest.
Let’s make it easier to talk about these things and support each other. Awareness, compassion, and community make ALL the difference. 💛
