🕊️With a heavy heart and fond remembrance, I, Suzette Klun, write this tribute to our beloved Doris Ruth Klun, who peacefully departed this earthly realm on January 17, 2026. Born June 15, 1936, in Bussey, Iowa, Doris lived an extraordinary life that spanned nearly nine decades. She was a kind, empathetic soul who spread love and generosity wherever she went. To those who knew her, Doris was an angel in human form, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Doris was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. After her graduation in Interior Decorating, she turned her creative passion into a successful career as a Dietician in the healthcare sector. Whether it was her role as a Fashion Consultant or a Self Esteem Counselor, Doris always brought her unique touch. Her adventurous spirit led her to reside in various places, including West Lake, California, Tucson, Arizona, and Showlow, Arizona, before finally returning to her roots in Bussey, Iowa.

Known for her deep love for her family, Doris created a warm and nurturing environment for her husband, Richard Klun, their only son, Mark Klun, and myself, her daughter-in-law. She was also a cherished aunt to her nephew Ken Hugen and his spouse (Deana Hugen), and three nieces, Angie Hugen, Rachel Rietveld, Joan Nagel and her spouse )Chad Nagel). Her kindness extended to her community, where she was an active member of the Red Hat Society and TOPPS and a dedicated volunteer for the Women's Bible Study at First Southern Baptist Church. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family, friends, and her pet Cricket.

In the book of Proverbs, it is written, "She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy." (Proverbs 31:20). This verse echoes Doris's benevolent spirit. Her boundless generosity, empathetic heart, and unwavering support were a testament to her steadfast faith. She offered guidance with compassion and wisdom, and her selflessness will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Madonna Hugen, and her brothers, Paul, and Michael Hugen. As we mourn her passing, we celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the countless lives she touched. Her radiant spirit, love, and generosity will continue to live on in our hearts and memories.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. A funeral service will be held also on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bussey. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials have been established to the Marion County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Disease Research.

🕊️Earl Bruce Klyn, known fondly to friends and family as Bruce, came into this world on November 26, 1946 to Earl Henry and Neva Louise (Ratcliff) Klyn. He passed away on January 14, 2026. Bruce's life was marked by his love for agriculture, sports, and most importantly, his family.

Bruce graduated from Baxter High School in 1964 and subsequently furthered his studies at Ellsworth Community College, before earning his bachelor's degree in Biology from William Penn University. His love for sports was evident as he played football and basketball during his university years. Bruce's professional journey began at Monsanto Chemical, but it was his bold venture into Roemerman Feed and Grain in 1973 that truly defined his career. With his entrepreneurial spirit, he grew the business by owning elevators in Blakesburg, Albia and Centerville. After a fulfilling career, he retired and returned to his roots, becoming a full-time farmer of Klyn Farms. He was proud that customers and friends would seek his agriculture advice. Even after selling his elevator business he still enjoyed spending time "solving" all the world's problems with the "loafers" at the Blakesburg Elevator.

Beyond his work, Bruce was a dedicated Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved playing cards, especially cribbage many times a week with many different social groups. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years, and coyote hunting throughout his life. He always had a dog in his truck with him, especially Dexter and Rascal. However, it was his unwavering commitment to his family that truly defined him. He made it a point to attend all of his children and grandchildren's sporting events, a testament to his deep love for them. Bruce married Janyce Kline on September 2, 1966, and while they later divorced, their bond remained through their shared love for their family.

He is survived by his children, Eric (Jenny) Klyn, Kristen (Rob) Walker; grandchildren, Wyatt Klyn (Morgan), and Whitney Klyn; Drake, Avery, Brooklyn and Bennett Walker; one brother, Wayne Klyn; and previous spouse Janyce Klyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Henry and Neva Louise Klyn.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, opening to the public at 3:00 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m., Monday evening at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Blakesburg. Memorials have been established to the family and will be directed to local youth sports organizations.

Bruce was always bigger than life in size and personality. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. We invite you to share your memories of Bruce and upload photos of him on the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a lasting tribute to a life well-lived. 🕊️
