Recently, the FDA announced its approval for an over-the-counter contraceptive. It's the first time a hormonal birth control will be available without a prescription!

The pill will not be on the shelves until next year, but this is a step towards making contraceptive methods more readily available. As always, it's important to remember to take ANY birth control as instructed/on schedule in order to achieve and maintain effectiveness!

*Consulting with a medical professional prior to starting any hormonal contraceptive is strongly recommended and encouraged.
