Most Americans are overweight or obese, and they do not seem to care about the consequences for their health as the age. The rate of obesity in children is increasing at an alarming rate.
IF you are not familiar with increased health risks linked to obesity, a simple google search will enlighten you, and it should scare you if you are concerned.
With 60% or more of the population in excess weight, it is easy to feel “normal” while at an unhealthy weight. Waist circumference to Height ratio (in inches) is a better indicator than BMI.
Conventional advice: cut calorie intake and add exercise time. has proven to work only short term.
A study mentioned by Dr Fung (The Obesity Code) in one of his videos on youtube, concludes that after 8 years, a group following this approach is at the same weight as the test group that made no change.
After an initial weight drop, all of the weight lost is gradually regained.
People who care about their health often have tried several methods only to end up frustrated. They give up. Fad diets promoted online do not help…
So, is there hope? I think so! I teach the Absolute Weight Loss Method.
It involves
- no calorie counting
- no starvation diet
- no extra 2 hours a week at the gym*
Once learned, it is easy yo follow and it works long term. THAT IS KEY!
*I should say that exercise is extremely important for health. It is simply NOT a solution to lose large amounts of weight.
Dr Fung points out that a ½ h of medium intensity exercise burns very few calories compared to typical daily intake. Others have pointed out that exercise is not the way to lose weight. In excess, it creates stress on our bodies and increases appetite!
Is the method revolutionary and new? NO, it is based on a method that was introduced in France about 30 years ago. What is new is that I modified and improved it, based on current scientific knowledge.
It requires cooking and eating homemade meals, at least 6 days a week. Eating out is possible with special ordering. Some dishes will no longer be part of your diet, except once a week, after stable weight is achieved: Pizza, pastries are on the list of forbidden dishes.
Low glycemic loads are part of the method, and so is intermittent fasting (promoted by Dr Fung).
There are no medical contra-indications and plenty of health benefits.
It is never too early or too late to act if you are overweight or obese! ACTING IS the KEY.
