Formula shortages are a huge problem for a lot of people right now. Hopefully this helps those who need it. Just PLEASE do not attempt to make your own formula (there's a recipe from around the 1950s floating around right now and the ingredients in this recipe are NOT safe for babies) or attempt cows milk, which babies under six months are not able to process properly.

I love this!

I see/hear this toxic thought all of the time; "Other moms look like they were born for this and I'm struggling, I'm a failure". Why do we think this? Is it hormones? Social media? A combination of both?
I encourage postpartum support for precisely this reason. While a portion of postpartum support includes childcare, feeding help, sleep schedule help ect, it's really primarily about caring for the new mom. The postpartum period is kind of a fourth trimester, but instead of focusing solely on the baby's health, the physical and emotional healing of the mom is top priority.
We want to help prevent toxic thoughts like this. Remember that you are NOT a failure, you're everything that your baby needs 💜

This is SUCH an important reminder! There is no right or wrong way to parent and the person who knows your children and their needs the best is YOU. It might appear that everyone else is doing it "right" while you're struggling, but in the words of Mark Twain "Comparison is the theif of joy" ❤

We are very excited to celebrate the birth of sweet little Madilyn Jade! Born September 3, 2021 at 3:40 AM weighing 6 lbs and 8 oz, this girl is absolutely perfect! Congratulations to her wonderful parents, especially her amazing mom who was only in active labor for about three hours and birthed like an absolute champ! Deeply grateful to be a part of this beautiful experience. Welcome to the world, Madilyn! 💜👶
