Why do we wait until we reach our absolute limit before acknowledging our stress, and how does that kind of low-level, chronic stress affect our minds and bodies? First, let’s start by asking ourselves how to identify excess stress.

How can you tell when your stress is starting to affect you?

Counterintuitively, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest.
Real rest—not sitting down and worrying about what you need to do, or scrolling on your phone to distract yourself. Carve out time each day when your one and only task is to take a real, peaceful break.

What makes you feel actually rested?

Part 3 of 3: Prevention

Now we know what dementia is, what causes it, and how to detect it. But how do we prevent it in the first place?
Take care of your body, and take care of your brain.
Maintain general healthy habits, like a clean diet, frequent exercise, and sleeping well.
Keep your brain active. Don’t let yourself settle into mundane, unchallenging routines. Seek out new experiences, keep yourself learning new ideas and skills, and stay connected to friends and family. There’s no 100% guaranteed method to completely prevent dementia, but keeping these habits dramatically reduces your risk and will slow the progression. They’ll also help you feel happier and more energetic, making your quality of life higher no matter where your cognitive ability is at.

Which of these habits are you already following?

Part 2 of 3: Early Detection

When you know what’s going on, you can start working on it. Identifying and treating dementia as soon as possible leads to far better outcomes than leaving it unaddressed. While treatment may not always be able to “cure” or completely stop the progression, it will help a person with dementia live with a higher quality of life for longer.

Part 1 of 3: Causes

Developing dementia of any kind is a fear many of us hold as we age. This anxiety has risen with the uptick of dementia diagnoses, even in people as young as 30.

Let’s dive into what it is and how to stop it in its tracks.

Many people believe dementia begins in their 70s or 80s.
But research now shows the brain changes that lead to Alzheimer’s often begin decades earlier—even as early as your 30s.

The good news: your brain is adaptive and capable of change throughout all of life.

In this eye-opening workshop, Dr. Doug Meints will reveal the science-backed strategies that help protect, restore, and strengthen brain function before serious damage occurs.

You’ll learn:

The earliest warning signs of brain decline most people miss
Why memory loss is NOT the first sign of Alzheimer’s
The hidden lifestyle triggers damaging modern brains
What you and your children can do NOW to protect brain function
How modern brain mapping can detect problems decades early

This workshop may change the way you think about your brain forever.
