Hi, I’m Andrea (she/her)—I was born and raised in the South Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico and received my BA in Anthropology and MA in Counseling at the University of New Mexico in 2013. I believe that each person has the ability to be their best self and I’m here to help you along the ride. I am here to support you, challenge you, provide information and feedback, and do so without judgement. I am here to assist you in finding your path and to help you find the building blocks to put together your life in a way that makes you feel good about it. I work with clients 14 years and older and specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions, and have over 10 years experience in the mental health field. I utilize an eclectic framework that best fits your needs and would love to meet you and see if we’re a good fit.

I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to our new provider! This is Blanca Caro PhD. Blanca holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and works with both individuals and couples. She also provides psychological assessments and evaluations. We accept BCBS, Presbyterian, Western Sky, United Healthcare, Medicaid as well as private pay. It is ok to understand why someone behaves a certain way. It’s ok to have empathy for people who have been through a lot causing them to behave a certain way. It is not ok to justify and/or tolerate someone else treating you poorly or disrespectfully because you understand why they are doing it.

Social media can be a crazy place! It can be so easy to get caught up in who’s going where, who’s buying what, who’s doing what, who’s accomplishing what etc. This can often lead to feeling unfulfilled, envious, frustrated or even just drained. This is your reminder to not get so caught up in other people’s lives that you forget to enjoy your own.
