We love highlighting the amazing things happening in the NMHCA/NMCAL member communities! Recently, Paloma Springs Healthcare hosted “A Day with a Police Officer.” Local officers brought armored vehicles for residents to explore, held a Q&A session, and spent quality time visiting. The turnout was fantastic, and residents truly enjoyed the experience! A huge thank you to Paloma Springs Healthcare for sharing these special moments and for the wonderful work you’re doing with your residents, team, and community. Our Executive Director, Vicente Vargas, is thrilled to represent the NMHCA/NMCAL at —committed to navigating the evolving regulatory landscape in New Mexico together. In a time of rapid policy shifts, reimbursement pressures, and post-acute care transformation, it’s more important than ever that we come together as leaders to advocate, adapt, and act. eCapWest provides a powerful platform to connect with national stakeholders, share what’s working in our state, and learn from others tackling the same challenges. New Mexico’s skilled nursing providers are doing incredible work under immense pressure. At eCapWest25, Vicente is proud to help amplify their voice — and to work toward solutions that protect access, enhance quality, and support the professionals delivering compassionate care across our state. The road ahead is complex, but together, we’re building a more resilient and responsive skilled nursing sector.
