When does your child need to boost their adjustments? Let’s break it down. 👇
Between growth spurts, emotional ups and downs, school changes, teething, sleep regressions, sports, activities, tryouts, tests at school, and immune challenges… Your child’s nervous system is working overtime. 😮‍💨
These aren’t just “normal phases” or stages that they “will grow out of.” Sometimes the body needs a little boost to help get through it! There are some key moments when the nervous system can get overwhelmed, dysregulated, and stuck in stress mode. That’s where more frequent adjustments come in. 🙌

Have you noticed your baby’s motor milestones regressing or hitting a plateau? Are they struggling to sit up, crawl, or walk despite months of traditional therapy? Does your child seem to fatigue easily, slouch constantly, and avoid physical activities altogether? We know how hard this can be!! 🥹 Many parents are left frustrated and confused when their child hits a plateau in care!
Motor milestones are just one aspect we see with regressions! For the majority of kids struggling with missed motor milestones, the real root cause goes way beyond tight muscles and a weak core and may have been originally triggered by birth interventions such as forceps, vacuum, induction, and c-section deliveries. These sorts of physically traumatic births can cause what’s called subluxation of the brainstem and upper neck regions, where all motor tone and coordination are controlled. 🧠 This will then shift the nervous system as a whole into what’s called sympathetic dominance or excessive tone. THIS is what can lead to regressions or plateaus when it comes to PT and OT! The nervous system has to be regulated first! Then other therapies can help so much more!!
