10 years ago I completed a dream by becoming a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. That is a sentence I never thought I would write. It was an honor to receive a 10 year recertification today. There have been a lot of people on the journey I need to thank. First and foremost my wife who struggled through many thankless hours alone through 4 years of residency and then another couple of years of board exams. My wonderful parents who supported me on a lifelong journey of figuring out how to be someone responsible enough to pull this off. My surgery mentors, Steven Roholt and Mark Glasgow, who demonstrated an incredible amount of patience and long-suffering. OK sometimes they weren't very patient; but they really did a lot of suffering.
I'm also very thankful today the re-certification is less grueling than the initial round π.
