I love breakfast food, but I often fast through breakfast… what to do? Brunch to the rescue! 😅 Today‘s menu is fast and easy… a two-cheese omelet and sliced cherry tomatoes drizzled with the Basil Pecan oil we made a few weeks ago: take 1/4 cup of pecan oil and add 1 drop of Basil essential oil. Stir well and store in a small glass jar. Good over so many things! I buy pecan oil locally from Worthington Farms at farmers’ markets in Albuquerque or Las Cruces, New Mexico. Las Cruces is known for its beautiful pecan groves, and the oil produced is velvety and flavorful.

You can use the same approach with olive or other nut oils and your choice of essential oil. Be sure your essential oil is safe for ingestion (look for the supplemental facts label on the back) and use less than a drop for hot oils like cinnamon or oregano. This can be done by dipping a toothpick in the oil and swirling into the carrier oil. Always adjust for your personal taste and enjoy! 👩🏻‍🍳

Pecan love this morning with a crunchy breakfast featuring pecans, pecan oil, pecan butter, and mango pecan jam. 😋 On toasted whole grain bread, smear pecan butter and top with a tablespoon or two of mango jam. Drizzle with Cinnamon Pecan oil: 1/4 cup pecan oil plus 1 drop each dōTERRA cinnamon and cassia oils. Keep in small covered glass container and drizzle for a pop of flavor and velvety pecan oil goodness! 🤎
