May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, and recently HSNM Urologist Dr. Damara Kaplan sat down with New Mexico Living to talk about symptoms and treatment. If caught early, bladder cancer can often be cured, and the the five-year survival rate for bladder cancer is 77%, and as high as 95% for early-stage cancers.
