Presbyterian Ear Institute (PEI) exists to assist people with hearing loss to better listen and speak and to integrate into mainstream society. The Institute offers hope in breaking the silence for children and adults and provides a comprehensive approach to the early diagnosis, intervention, education and rehabilitation of deafness. In fulfilling its mission and through the programs and services offered, PEI works daily to mitigate the lifelong effects that hearing loss has on literacy, educational achievement and vocational opportunities.

April is Occupational Therapy Month 💙

We’re celebrating Annie, a pediatric OT at Presbyterian Ear Institute. A New Mexico native with 10 years of experience, Annie helps children build the skills they need to grow, learn, and participate in everyday life - from fine motor skills to sensory processing and independence.

Her impact extends beyond the clinic, empowering families every step of the way. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and time with family.

In these activities:
• Swinging targets eye-hand and bilateral coordination
• Bowling supports vestibular processing and trunk/neck strength

We are excited to share a special invitation for you and your family to attend the 5th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza, hosted by Vertical Real Estate, this Sunday, March 29 from 1:00–3:00 PM. .realestate

6718 Rio Grande Blvd NW
Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM 87107

It will be a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, including food, games, face painting, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, and a huge Easter egg hunt with over 2,000 eggs!

There will also be a raffle with wonderful prizes, including a TV, Xbox, and more. Proceeds from the raffle will directly support the Presbyterian Ear Institute School for Oral Deaf Education.

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together as a community, and we would love to see many of our PEI families there.

Spring Break doesn’t mean a break from device wear!Since the kids crushed the last 10 to Win, we’re bringing back a mini version just for Spring Break!

We’ll be tracking device wear time before AND after break. If your child can hit full-time use (10 hours/day) throughout Spring Break, they’ll earn a prize and be entered to win the Grand Prize!

From exploring the audiology booth to learning about their devices, our audiology assistant guided them through interactive, play-based testing using dolls - making big concepts feel fun, accessible, & inclusive.

Experiences like these empower students to better understand their hearing and build confidence in using their technology every day.
