Earlier this month, one of Adelante's clients, Nicole, visited Washington D.C. with some support staff for the SourceAmerica 2025 Grassroots Advocacy Conference. During this four day event, 60 self-advocates and leaders from over 55 nonprofits from all over the country met with 165 policymakers to advocate for, and highlight the importance of employment for people with disabilities through the AbilityOne Program.

Besides making a big impact as a self-advocate, while Nicole was in D.C., she also visited several national landmarks, awesome museums, made new friends from across the country, and watched the political process right before her very eyes.

Way to go Nicole! You did great.
