Soul Recovery Cafe The Soul Recovery Cafe is a welcoming space for individuals on their journey to healing and wellness.

Inspired by the Recovery Cafe Network model, we offer a supportive community atmosphere.

Ready to get involved with the hottest new peer organization in NM?!

We’re a little biased, but the NM Peer Coalition is #1 in our hearts, and we’re offering a place at our table for YOU!

This Saturday 1/9/26 will be our first board meeting of the new year and we’re starting it by electing new board chairs.

We’ll teach you the ropes, since developing peer leadership is kinda our thing, so no worries if you don’t have board experience. Your lived experience and heart for recovery are all that’s needed.

Wednesday, November 12th was an extremely busy day for NMPC and Soul Recovery!
Our Program Director, Johnny Armijo and our Assistant Program Coordinator, Andrea Alderete presented at the monthly CHW networking lunch about the services we offer.

Our Executive Director, Elise Padilla, did a national webinar on Building Peer Communities & Mutual Aid Ecosystems. This will be available on our website soon so keep an eye out for it.

Lastly, our Board chair, Lily Spurgeon, Gustavo Hernández, and Alicia Lopez presented at the 17th Annual Student Leadership Institute 2025. We presented on curanderismo, culture and emotional wellbeing.

It is always an honor and privilege to share the amazing work the team is doing.
