I was contacted by someone I treated for a few years ago. She’s experiencing experiencing a new skin condition, and the soonest the dermatologist could see her is in 9 months 😵‍💫

Today when I saw her she said that the lichen sclerosus has remained stable since we finished treatment! I love hearing from past patients and knowing that Chinese medicine can provide lasting relief.

I heard this story today and it made me feel uplifted. I hope it does the same for you!

Someone asked anthropologist Margaret Mead what the earliest evidence of human civilization was. She said a human femur bone with a healed fracture. If an animal breaks a leg, they’re a gonner. This healed fracture showed that someone had cared for and protected this person as they recovered.

Dear patients,

To help protect the most vulnerable in our community and help to flatten the curve, we will be temporarily suspending in-office appointments. We are now, however, offering tele-medicine herbal consultations! These will involve a phone or Skype call, and then we will send you herbs (either no-contact pick up or delivery, or shipped to your home).

Herbal medicine is wonderful for boosting the immune system, soothing stress/anxiety, calming allergies, and more!

We have also been receiving information from China about how their TCM doctors on the frontlines have been treating COVID-19. This is a novel virus, but Chinese medicine has been treating epidemic diseases with herbal medicine for centuries.

Ideal Protein check-ins will also be done remotely, and we can arrange no-contact pick up or delivery.

I am so excited for this new facial cream to come in! One of the chief ingredients is bakuchiol (derived from the Chinese herb bu gu zhi 补骨脂). Bakuchiol has been shown in clinical studies to act as a “functional analog to retinol” without the skin irritation and side effects. Twice daily application of bakuchiol over a 12 week period produced significant wrinkle reduction!

This patient has been off herbs completely for 7 months, and his granuloma annulare has remained completely clear! There are a couple spots of psoriasis that have stubbornly clung on, so we'll do one more push with herbal medicine to get those clear as well. Chinese medicine is so great for managing skin conditions!
