Kids Supporting Kids - New Mexico Kids Supporting Kids, an initiative of the UNM Center for Life, raises funds and support for integrative oncology services for children fighting cancer.

When a pediatric patient is fighting through illness or injury, there can be a pain and sickness component that is not always addressed by conventional medical care. That's where the UNM Center for Life and integrative medicine come in. Through acupuncture, massage, healing touch and other CAM (complementary and alternative medicines) services, the center's care providers are able to assist in ways to support the whole person in their healing process. Unfortunately, not all integrative services are paid by the patient’s insurance benefits. That is why Kids Supporting Kids New Mexico was created. Through our initiatives, funds are raised to provide integrative
medical services for children fighting cancer, blood disorders, and other life-threatening ailments that families normally cannot afford.
