🌨️ Ice Safety Reminder 🌨️

As winter settles in and ice begins to form on our inland lakes, it’s important to know when it’s truly safe to head out.

❄️ Always use caution — whether you’re skating, ice fishing, or snowmobiling, avoid ice that’s less than four inches thick.
❄️ Steer clear of ice with visible cracks, or areas near inlets and moving water where thickness can change quickly.
❄️ Remember: ice is rarely uniform across a lake and can shift from safe to unsafe in just hours.
❄️ Planning a fishing trip? Check with local experts for the latest ice conditions before you go.
