All of us here at Alden Family Dentistry are saddened to hear of the passing of Marcia Kegler. She had a long career as a dedicated and highly skilled Chairside Dental Assistant and Receptionist. Marcia was part of a core of staff members that helped me when I assumed Dr. Allen Payne’s practice in 1982. Marcia cared deeply for her patients and for our community. She was a dear friend to us in her retirement,and we will miss her warm demeanor and easy smile. Our thoughts are with Gary and Marcia’s amazing family during this difficult time.

In the days and weeks after Halloween, we see a surge of tooth problems. Fractured teeth. Broken fillings, Crowns coming off. Don't delay contacting you dentist if this happens to you. Crowns have to be re-cemented quickly. Drifting can occur that makes putting the crown back on difficult or impossible. If a broken tooth is sharp, you can buy Orthodontic Wax. Place a small amount over the sharp edge to protect your soft tissue until you see your dentist.

Hi, it's Dr. Frank. I'm not going to lie. As a Dentist, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. People think it's corny, but I give out toothbrushes along with treats. Some of the neighbors come to my house specifically for their toothbrush. Last night, around 8:15, after we put things away, the doorbell rang.. It was girl who said, "Can we have another toothbrush? My sister lost hers and she's really upset." That was the most endearing moment of the night.

Hi: Our office is going to be closed for at least the morning on Monday, January 15th due to the snow and associated travel restrictions. Our staff is still mostly snowed in. I have not been able to get to the office to clear the entrances. We will re-assess later in the morning with regard to opening in the afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
