Pumpkin isn’t just for lattes—it’s a nutrient powerhouse loaded with fiber, vitamin A, and antioxidants. It can help support immunity and stabilize blood sugar (a big win during perimenopause and menopause).

Blend it into smoothies, bake it into protein muffins, or make a nourishing fall soup. 🍂 Fuel your body for your next MMA CardioKick or Bikini Body Camp session with real, wholesome foods.

Healthy Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 cup canned pumpkin or homemade pumpkin puree
2 large eggs
½ cup maple syrup
⅓ cup melted coconut oil
⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
½ teaspoon vanilla
Topping
2 Tablespoons coconut sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare 1 regular sized loaf pan (8.5 inch) by spraying it with cooking spray or lining it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and salt).
Combine the wet ingredients (pumpkin, eggs, maple syrup, oil, applesauce and vanilla) in a medium-sized mixing bowl and blend well.
Add the liquid mixture to the dry and stir well until just combined.
In a small bowl mix coconut sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
Pour batter into the loaf pan and top with coconut sugar cinnamon topping and place on the center rack of oven. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow to cool before removing from pan.

This morning’s walk around Holland Lake was wonderful — with cooler temperatures and overcast skies, it finally felt like fall! The perfect time to get outdoors, move your body, and connect with friends.
As the days get shorter and the sunshine fades, it’s important to keep up our activity levels and Vitamin D intake to help prevent Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) — a type of depression that can affect mood and energy during the darker months.
☀️ Tips for a Healthy, Happy Fall:
✅ Get outside daily — even brief daylight exposure helps boost Vitamin D.
✅ Keep moving! Regular walks improve circulation, release endorphins, and fight fatigue.
✅ Eat Vitamin D–rich foods like salmon, eggs, and fortified dairy.
✅ Try light therapy or open curtains wide to let natural light in.
✅ Stay connected — social interaction can lift your mood.
Walking with others is a great way to stay active and positive all season long. 💛
