She graduated from Eastern Mennonite University’s nursing program and is now working in the emergency room. Ashlyn joined Healthier because she wanted to help individuals recover fully and hopefully prevent illness before it happens. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and cat, crocheting, and exploring the NOVA/DMV area with friends!

Introducing another one of the amazing faces behind the scenes, ✨

Kate is an office manager and medical assistant at Healthier. She is a proud Northern Virginia native, and received her Bachelors in Public Health from the University of Texas at Austin.

Kate has 2 years of experience working in OBGYN and spinal health/pain management. She is passionate about holistic healthcare and is thrilled to work with and learn from the incredible team at Healthier. Kate will begin her Masters in Physician Assistant studies at James Madison University this fall.

In her free time, Kate loves CorePower yoga, iced latte walks with friends, and reading.

Introducing Healthier’s first ever nurse practitioner, Sara!

Sara is the Health Coach of Healthier and a Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in the small town of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, but has called Northern Virginia her home for the last 20 years.

Sara received her BA in Art History from Penn State University. After several years in the business world, she decided to pursue a career in nursing and graduated from George Mason University where she received her Nursing degree with honors. Sara has worked in various roles throughout her nursing career – both at the bedside and administratively in the emergency room. She received her Masters in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from George Washington University and has been practicing as a provider in the ER for the past six years.

In her free time, Sara can be found on an adventure with her daughter or hopelessly training her lab rescue dog, Barksdale. She enjoys yoga, reading, trying new recipes, and an occasional dance party.

Sara is excited to be a part of Healthier where she can utilize all of her education and experience to care for patients holistically – body, mind, and spirit. She is excited to partner with clients to help them reach their health and wellness goals.
