I had a wonderful time with these lovely mompreneurs at a networking event organized by the fabulous Wajeaha. Women supporting each other gives me a lot of hope and fuels my energy to keep doing what I’m doing. 💕

“Am I chasing purpose, or attention disguised as purpose?”

That question stayed with me. Monday by Christian Benjamin offers a story for every week of the year. Each one begins with a parable, followed by a reflection, a set of questions to ask yourself, and a quiet wake-up call. Together, they invite you to slow down, look inward, and remember what truly matters: your values, your voice, and the life you want to build.

Yesterday I had the joy of attending a moms’ networking event at Cowo & Creche, and it was truly beautiful.

Shamena, founder of Cowo & Crèche, is someone who truly walks the talk!! She shows up for herself and for others with a depth of integrity and care that’s rare and inspiring.

What moves me most is her unwavering commitment to God, her family, and her values. When I speak about values-based decision making, it’s people like Shamena who embody it - not just in words, but in how they live.

Thank you for being a living example and for inspiring us all.

My word of the year is “Gentle Growth”: growing in grace and with gentleness, for my own well-being and for everyone I encounter. 🤗🙌🏽

I just gave a talk on mindset and healing — and I’d love for you to hear it.

This week, I had the honor of presenting at the 7th Annual AIP Summit on a topic that is deeply personal to me: the evidence for mindset in health outcomes and physical healing.

If you were in the live audience, I’d love to hear what you thought. Did you learn something new? Were you surprised by anything you heard? Are you feeling more inspired to take the helm of your healing journey?

If you weren’t able to attend live, no worries — the talk was recorded and will be available on the AIP Summit website until Sunday, January 11 at 8:00 AM EST. After that, it will move into the AIP Summit Community archives until the spring encore in March. I’d love for you to catch it while it’s still free.

A heartfelt thank you to Jaime Hartman for organizing such a meaningful summit and for welcoming me, as a new AIP Certified Coach, to share this work. I’m also deeply grateful to the researchers and thought leaders whose insights shaped my talk — and to Taylor Cohen (), who worked with me to create the animated short film, “Becoming: A Butterfly’s Journey,” which brought the emotional heart of the presentation to life [it’s available on YouTube - check it out!] 🦋

This milestone feels like a powerful start to the year for Key of Life Ventures. I’m excited to continue growing Growth Mindset Groups, to share the Eight.moments Mindset Journal with even more people, and to launch Healthstarter, a guided program to help people begin their healing journeys with clarity, support, and momentum.

If this message resonates, I hope you’ll take a moment to watch the replay [available on aipsummit.com], and consider joining the AIP Summit Community for ongoing support, learning, and connection.

Here’s to a year of healing, agency, and becoming.

🌟 2025 stretched me, humbled me, and filled me with purpose.

Here’s what I’m carrying forward into 2026:

💠 Taught and learned from 800+ students across 3 fitness studios.
💠 Hosted a full year of Key of Life Ventures workshops, many in collaboration with other thought leaders.
💠 Launched Growth Mindset Groups and watched dozens of people reach ambitious goals through structured support and accountability.
💠 Supported entrepreneurs in aligning mission with messaging and helped them launch their brands and websites.
💠 Shared my published Eight.moments journals with many people who used them to build mindfulness and gratitude.
💠 Taught students about the life‑changing impact of breathwork on wellbeing and reducing anxiety.
💠 Volunteered with Postpartum Support International and became a Peer Mentor — one of the most fulfilling experiences of my year, especially having been in their shoes only a few years ago.
💠 Earned a scholarship for the Autoimmune Protocol Program and passed my exam with a 100% score, becoming an AIP Certified Coach.
💠 Began my National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer journey, adding to my knowledge to help people with their Healthstarter journeys.
💠 Launched Markets for Good and hosted our first event in 30 days (a seemingly impossible goal) — raising $1400 for families in Alexandria.
💠 Developed a values‑based decision matrix to help clients make choices and set goals rooted in what matters most to them.
💠 Traveled, read, hiked, and drew.
💠 Tried new things, including boxing!
💠 Cooked a variety of foods, both traditional and new.
💠 Experimented with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (Stelo) and food tracking through Cronometer to help stabilize my blood sugar.
💠 Became an auntie to the sweetest niece anyone could dream of.
💠 Watched my daughter make her first vision board and work toward her own goals.
💠 Volunteered in Sunday School with the littlest kids and watched them grow exponentially over the course of the year.
💠 Completed Mental Health First Aid with Center for the Advancement of Well-Being and Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Corepower Yoga, stretching my capacity for encouraging healing through movement.
💠 Did my first inversion (assisted via FeetUp — maybe in 2026 I’ll overcome my fear of unassisted inversions!).
💠 Learned that showing people the way and keeping them motivated are the things within my control.
💠 Learned that whether or not they keep up is not within my control — a humbling but important distinction that protects my peace.
💠 Deepened friendships and built new connections.
💠 Learned to ask for help when I needed it.
💠 Learned to celebrate small wins as much as the big ones.
💠 Found clarity about the kind of woman, mother, and leader I’m becoming.
💠 Learned to trust God’s timing more than my plans.
💠 Realized that purpose grows quietly, in the background, long before it becomes visible.
💠 Had days of doubt and days of grace.
💠 Learned again that darkness reveals light, and gratitude always returns.

2025 wasn’t perfect — but it was purposeful.

And I’m stepping into 2026 with open hands, a full heart, and deep gratitude.
