May is mental health awareness month, so let’s have some real conversations folks!

We invite all members of the community and family members of athletes to please attend a FREE presentation TONIGHT in the Discovery Middle School auditorium beginning at 7:00 pm. This presentation will be very insightful and informative.

Friday we take on Moorhead in our Strikeout the Stigma game beginning at 5:00 pm at Alexandria Area High School. Together we will continue to fight to end the stigma surrounding mental health! Plan to join us and wear green!

🌿 Calm Your Nerves: Expert Tips for Inner Peace 🌿.

Deep Breathing: 🌬️ Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat several times. Feel the tension melt away as you focus on your breath, bringing a sense of calmness and clarity to your mind.

Mindful Meditation: 🧘 Find a quiet spot, sit comfortably, and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths to settle in. Now, simply observe your breath as it flows in and out. When your mind wanders (and it will!), gently bring your focus back to your breath. Enjoy the peaceful moments of stillness and recharge your mind.

Muscle Relaxation: πŸ’ͺ Start by tensing the muscles in your toes, then release. Move up to your calves, thighs, and so on, working your way up your body. Tense each muscle group for a few seconds, then let go completely. Feel the tension melt away as you relax each muscle, leaving you feeling more at ease and refreshed.
