"This Center is a transformational step toward restoring dignity and stability to those who’ve served,” said Chairman & CEO Frank Siller. “I look forward to working with President Trump on a comprehensive plan to advance our shared goal—and we’re actively coordinating with the Secretaries of VA and HUD to best support our homeless and at-risk veterans. No veteran who served our country should be left behind."

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting that
subfreezing temperatures are expected to come through Louisiana. Potential effects of the winter weather forecast include:

Freezing temperatures: Overnight lows below freezing, creating frost/ice, health risks for compromised individuals, infants and older adults, risk for frozen pipes and vehicle issues.

Icy roads and bridges: Bridges and overpasses are especially susceptible to ice accumulation, causing dangerous driving conditions.

Utility disruptions: Increased energy demand during freezing weather could stress power grids and lead to outages.

School closures: Dangerous driving conditions and low temperatures could prompt area school closures.

OAAS recommends the following websites to assist you to prepare:
