We’ve been getting a lot of questions about what it actually means to be a case study patient, so let’s clear that up. ⬇️

A case study candidate is someone who’s already thinking seriously about facelift or eyelid surgery and feels comfortable sharing their experience along the way. That might include photos, short check-ins, or talking about what recovery is really like (the good, the uncomfortable, and everything in between).

Why do we do this? Because real stories help other patients feel more confident and informed when they’re making big decisions about surgery. And in return for sharing that experience, selected patients will be eligible for discounted pricing, while still receiving the same level of care, attention, and surgical planning we provide every patient.

A lot of people hear “IPL” and aren’t quite sure what that actually means. Alma IPL isn’t a traditional laser, it uses controlled pulses of light that target pigment and redness in the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Those light pulses are absorbed by things like sun spots and broken capillaries, and over time, your body naturally clears them away. The goal isn’t instant change, but gradual improvement in tone and clarity that looks natural and even.

That’s why IPL is usually done in a series and why timing (especially avoiding sun exposure) matters so much. When it’s used thoughtfully, it can be a really effective way to improve overall skin quality without much downtime.
