🎵 November is here, and my studio is celebrating with music! 🎵

This past Saturday was a wonderful day to hear some hymn playing!! 29 students from my studio performed in the Alexandria Hymn Festival and they all made a superior rating! Congratulations, students!! 🎉🎶🎶🎶

Another busy weekend for my studio! Three students competed in the State Hymn Festival this past Saturday. Katelynn competed in the 9th grade division, and Hugh and Audrey competed in the 10th grade division. Hugh won the 10th grade division! Congratulations, students! 🎶🎹🎶

Congratulations, students!! Twelve students from my studio competed in the Alexandria District Piano Rally this past weekend! The students had to play 3 pieces by memory, play scales, chords, and arpeggios by memory, sight read 2 pieces they have never seen before, and take a written theory exam!! All students did a wonderful job!! Congratulations again students for all of your hard work! 🎶🎶🎶

I love working on hymn festival pieces! My favorite part is some of them get stuck in my head at the time when I need the words the most. 💕 Here’s a studio sneak peek. “I am redeemed, You set me free.” 🎶🎶

So excited! My studio had 16 piano students participate in the LMTA District Piano Rally Competition. 3 students received Outstanding Achievement trophies, 10 placed in the performance division, and all received 90 or above ratings! Piano Rally is a lot of work! Students must perform 3 pieces by memory, sight-read two pieces they have never seen until the day of the rally, a written theory test, and all their scales by memory. Congratulations, students!!🎉
