October was a full month for our residency program—between the In-Training Exam, our Jurassic Park Trunk-or-Treat, and the start of recruitment season, our residents, faculty and staff have been hard at work! We wrapped it all up with a fun Halloween potluck last Thursday. 🎃🩺

Our resident's creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork brought the theme to life. The kids (and adults!) loved every minute. We had so much fun and can’t wait for next year!

Our new LSU Health Shreveport Family Medicine interns in Alexandria jumped right into orientation with a hands-on suturing skills workshop led by Dr. Brian Elkins.

From knot tying to precision stitching, these future family docs are already sharpening the skills they’ll use throughout their careers. Big thanks to Dr. Elkins for guiding them through their first (of many!) clinical skills sessions.
