🎉 One year in Alexandria and eight years as a trainer!!🎉

One year ago, I opened the doors to Make Fitness Fun 4 You here in Alex. But this work started long before that.

Eight years of coaching women who felt stuck.
Eight years of helping them build habits that actually last.
Eight years of learning that simple and consistent will always beat extreme and short-lived.

This past year has been about bringing that approach into a wonderful new community .

And what’s happening inside these walls is exactly why I started.

Women who once said “I’m not someone who works out” are now showing up week after week. Getting stronger. Feeling better. Taking care of themselves in a way that fits their life.

No quick fixes. No starting over every Monday. Just real, sustainable progress.

To everyone who has been part of this first year in Alexandria—thank you for trusting me and being here! I’m excited to continue to grow and work with more amazing women!

We just got back from a short little getaway, and I brought along my go-to: a meat, cheese, and veggie tray (with a solid dip, obviously).

It’s not fancy.
It’s not complicated.
But it works.

Here’s why I love it—especially in the summer:

* It hits protein, fats, and fiber without overthinking it
* You can graze instead of feeling stuffed
* It’s ready when you are (no cooking, no excuses)

This is the kind of “plan” I actually follow in real life.

Not perfect meals.
Not strict rules.
Just simple options that make it easier to stay consistent—even on vacation.

Because let’s be honest… summer gets busy.
If it’s not easy, it’s probably not happening.

“I’m just not someone who works out.”

That’s exactly what she told me when she started.

And the other day, she walked in and said:“I actually love being here. I like showing up and getting it done.”

Same person. Different belief.

No extremes. No overhaul. Just consistent reps of showing up, even on the days it wasn’t perfect.

That’s how this works.

Most women I meet don’t struggle with knowing what to do…they struggle with believing they’re the kind of person who can keep doing it.

That’s what we change.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately—and for good reason.

Spring showed up, and I’ve been putting my muscles to work out at the farm. Moving, lifting, cleaning, building… the kind of work that reminds you strength isn’t just for the gym. It’s for real life.

That said, I’m still getting my workouts in where I can. Maybe they look a little different right now, maybe they’re shorter, maybe they’re squeezed in between projects—but they’re happening.

And that’s the message I want you to take with you:

Spring and summer get busy. Schedules fill up fast. It’s easy to slip into “I’ll get back to it later.”

But later turns into months.

You don’t need perfect conditions—you need a plan and a commitment to yourself. Even in the busy seasons.

Your scheduled sessions? They matter.Your time? It matters.You? You matter.

If you’ve been feeling the shift in your routine, let’s tighten things back up before summer gets away from you.

“I don’t get it… I’ve been so good.”

She said it half laughing, half defeated.

She was checking all the boxes—
eating “clean”
getting workouts in
trying to stay consistent

But the scale wasn’t moving.
And in her mind, that meant she was failing.

So we zoomed out.

She was skipping meals… then overeating at night.
Running on low sleep.
Pushing through workouts with zero energy.
Living in that all-or-nothing cycle without even realizing it.

From the outside? She looked disciplined.
From the inside? She was exhausted.

We didn’t overhaul everything.
We adjusted a few key things:
– eating more consistently during the day
– pulling back intensity just a bit
– focusing on recovery like it actually mattered

Within a couple weeks, things started to shift.

Not just physically—
but her energy, her mood, her confidence.

That’s the part most people miss.

It’s not always about doing more.
Sometimes it’s about doing the right things consistently.

We talk a lot about exercise for weight loss.

But what often gets overlooked… is what it does for your mind.

Movement isn’t just about burning calories. It’s one of the most accessible, underused tools we have to support mental health:
• It helps regulate stress
• It can improve mood and energy
• It builds confidence over time
• It creates space to think clearly
• It can be a powerful outlet on hard days

And some days, that’s the win.

That’s where coaching changes everything.

Inside my semi-private training, we don’t just go through workouts. We meet you where you’re at that day.

Bad sleep? We adjust.
High stress? We modify.
Low energy? We still find a way to move forward.

You’re not expected to be perfect. You’re expected to be human.

And over time, that consistency—on both the good days and the hard ones—is what builds strength, confidence, and a healthier mind.
