We are saddened to announce the passing of Thelma Jacob Washington, but we choose to celebrate her vivacious and remarkable life. Born on June 7th, 1936 in Marksville, LA, Thelma enriched the lives of those around her in Alexandria, Louisiana with her charismatic spirit and infectious wit for 89 years.

Public viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at 10:00am at Mt Triumph Baptist Church, located at 2200 3rd Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 11:00am. The interment will take place at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 4000 Monroe Highway, Ball, Louisiana, 71405.

We prepare to gather to celebrate the life of Mother Dorothy Lee Williams Allen Stewart, known affectionately as "Mama," "Sugar Mama," and "Dot," who graced this world with her resilient and spirited soul on October 4, 1932, in Bayou Rapides, Louisiana. Mother Dorothy transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, January 23, 2026. A loving, humble, and faithful servant of the Lord, Dorothy's life was a testament to the scripture, "Let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14).

As we remember her life, we invite you to join us for a public viewing on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Calvary Tabernacle of Alexandria, located at 4510 3rd Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same venue. Final Committal Rites will take place at Garden of Memories, located at 2733 Eddie Williams Avenue, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302.

Ruby Jean Bobb Williams, lovingly known as "R Jean" or "M**f," was a resilient pillar of strength, a beacon of love and generosity in Boyce, Louisiana. Born on December 12, 1935, to Mattie Watkins Bobb and Emmanuel Bobb, Sr. in Bermuda, Louisiana, Ruby lived a rich, fulfilling life until January 20, 2026, leaving behind an indelible legacy.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 am at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 11-16th & Day Streets, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location. Final committal rites will take place at St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, 5605 Old Boyce Rd, Boyce, Louisiana, 71409.

Stephon Schency Kelly, Jr., affectionately known as "Steph," was a man of spirited character, loving warmth, and infectious humor. Born on February 27, 1988, in Alexandria, LA, Stephon spent his formative years here, a place he always considered home. We regret to announce that Stephon passed on Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at New Scott Olly Baptist Church, 2627 Willow Glen River Road, Alexandria, Louisiana. Following the service, Stephon will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories, 2733 Eddie Williams Avenue, Alexandria, Louisiana. A public viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at New Scott Olly Baptist Church.

A service celebrating her life and legacy will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 9363 US-165 N, Woodworth, Louisiana at 11:00 am. Public Viewing will begin at 10:00 am. Sis. Annie will be laid to rest in the Bayou Clear Cemetery immediately following the service.

Rodney Lee Smith Sr. was born to Earnest and Martha Smith on July 6, 1969 in Ancon, Panama. On January 7, 2026, Rodney transitioned into eternal rest, surrounded by his beloved life partner and namesake. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who loved him.

A Funeral Service honoring his life will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 320 Daspit Street, Alexandria, Louisiana 71302 on Fri, Jan 16th, 2026, 11:00am. Public Viewing and Visitation will begin at 10:00am. He will be laid to rest in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana immediately following the service.

Katie Mae Smith Gilder, the second child of eight, born December 6, 1934, in Bude, Mississippi, to George Smith, Sr. and Margaret Weatherspoon-Smith.

In 2020, Katie moved from Los Angeles, California to Dallas, Texas with her daughter and son-in-law where she lived until God called her home, on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
