We are proud to be the only facility in Central Louisiana offering the innovative DETOUR™ system! This minimally invasive endovascular device is designed to treat long, complex peripheral arterial disease (PAD) lesions and chronic total occlusions, helping patients heal wounds and avoid amputations in severe cases. PTAB, the first-ever fully percutaneous transmural arterial bypass therapy using the DETOUR™ System, provides a groundbreaking alternative to traditional open surgical bypass for those with PAD. It is the first procedure proven to effectively bypass long femoropopliteal lesions, and our team is dedicated to delivering advanced care that enhances outcomes and improves the quality of life for our patients.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our associates, patients, and community, our Food Drive was a tremendous success. We filled three trucks with donations totaling 2,669 pounds of food, which will provide 2,224 meals to individuals and families in need.

Because of the generosity of our community, we can continue operating our three established food pantries at CTC Pineville and the Community Clinics of Alexandria and Pineville, open a fourth pantry at our pediatric therapy clinic and continue our food voucher program for patients and staff experiencing hardship.

Preventing injuries is not just about avoiding pain; it's about protecting your quality of life. According to the National Safety Council, preventable injuries are the fourth-leading cause of death in the U.S. From slips and falls to improper lifting techniques, many of these incidents can be avoided with greater awareness and simple safety measures. Tips on staying safe at home and work include keeping walkways clear of clutter, using non-slip mats in bathrooms, ensuring adequate lighting in stairways and hallways, using proper lifting techniques, and taking regular breaks to avoid fatigue in physically demanding jobs.

Join us for free lung cancer screenings on Saturday, November 15, from 9–11 a.m. in the Women’s and Children’s Atrium at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S.—but early detection can save lives.

These screenings can help identify lung cancer in its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. Patients at CHRISTUS also have access to cutting-edge tools like the Ion Robotic Navigational Bronchoscopy System, which allows physicians to perform precise, minimally invasive biopsies for better outcomes and safer care.

To All the Saints, we thank you for your radiant witness of faith, your unwavering love for Christ and your courage in the face of trials. Your lives remind us that holiness is possible and that our earthly journey has eternal meaning. As you now rejoice in the presence of God, we ask for your prayers and guidance. Help us to remain faithful, to seek God's will in all things, and to walk with hope toward the promise of eternal life. May your example inspire us to live with purpose, love deeply, and trust in the mercy of our Savior. Amen.

Spooky season got a whole lot cuter when our tiniest NICU patients transformed to celebrate their first Halloween!

We recently celebrated our "Trunk or Treat," kicking off the Halloween season with costumes, candy, and community fun! It was a great reminder that while Halloween is all about fun, staying safe should be part of the plan. When trick-or-treating, it's always better to go out in a group. Sticking to familiar, well-lit streets can help drivers see children more easily. Trips and falls can also be dangerous, but carrying flashlights or glow sticks and wearing reflective clothing can help prevent them. Before anyone digs into the candy, take a minute to check it because a little caution goes a long way.

This , we remember there is life after stroke! After experiencing a stroke, Jim Anderson began his journey to recovery in inpatient rehab, later receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy. After progressing well enough to go home, he returned to his everyday life and even regained the ability to hunt! He gives a big shoutout to his dedicated outpatient rehab team for their hard work and support. Today, he remains grateful to his rehab team and hopes to encourage others who have suffered a stroke by being an example of the transformative power of rehabilitation.

After a serious car accident left ICU nurse Sarah Fricke-Wood unable to bear weight on both legs and one arm, she was airlifted for surgery. But when it came time for rehabilitation, Sarah knew exactly where she wanted to go, home to our facility.
"I need my people. I need my home,’” Sarah shared. “My therapists at Cabrini helped me find strength and independence again, from learning how to transfer to a wheelchair to practicing how to change my baby’s diaper safely. They didn’t just see my injuries; they saw me.”
Through intensive inpatient therapy, Sarah relearned everyday movements, regained her mobility, and found emotional healing through compassionate care.
Now, as she continues her recovery, Sarah says she’ll never forget the people who gave her back her independence, and her confidence.
This , we’re celebrating Sarah and every physical therapist who helps patients rebuild their strength, reclaim their independence, and rediscover hope.
