Last week, the Foundation attended the Education Leadership Conference, where we had the opportunity to connect with our community of supporters and funding recipients who are dedicated to advancing physical therapy education and education research.

We're proud to support physical therapy education by funding the scholars and researchers who are helping to grow the evidence base for the profession.

A special thank you to the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy - ACAPT for giving us the opportunity to speak at their business meeting to share how Foundation funding continues to move physical therapy education research forward.

For Gail Jensen, PT, PhD, FAPTA, nothing is more rewarding than helping young colleagues grow as researchers and make lasting contributions to the field.

Fresh from the Education Leadership Conference, it’s amazing to see so many attendees equally dedicated to supporting the development of physical therapy education researchers.

Foundation Trustee Barbara Connolly, PT, DPT, EdD, FAPTA, recently attended the Florida Physical Therapy Association Annual Conference and connected with University of Florida and NOVA Southeastern University students presenting a poster titled, "Balance control and muscle co-contraction differences during sit-to-stand between children with cerebral palsy and typically developing".

This work was partially funded by our 2023 Pediatric Physical Therapy Research Grant, which was awarded to Gui Cesar, PT, PhD, of the University of North Florida. It is always exciting to see Foundation-funded research being presented to the PT community!
