The DAC is hiring a full-time position (40 hours), no weekends, no evenings, no holidays. We are open 7:30AM- 3:30PM, M-F.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist/ guide and provide support in the delivery of vocational programming, recreational and leisure activities; both in-center and in the community for the people we serve. Assist the people we serve with meals, toileting and personal hygiene cares, transportation to/from activities and events and to/from home. Keep work area organized and clean. Perform janitorial and light maintenance on a regular basis. Perform other duties as required and/or requested.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, have excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to build and develop relationships through excellent customer service skills, must be a team player, have good organizational skills, supervisory skills and be a self-starter. Upon hire, an MVR and a background check will be completed. If the checks result in an unsatisfactory report the offer of employment will be rescinded.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
