"MS symptoms affect the body in different ways. Often, symptoms do not affect both sides of the body equally. One side may feel different from the other. One eye may droop, one leg might drag, and one hand might have a weaker grip. Parts of the body may also feel numb or tingly, with the opposite side feeling stronger."

"Much of the numbness I experience is in my legs, feet, arms, hands, and occasionally my face. It can feel like a tingling sensation, vibrating, pins and needles, or like the area is asleep, or “dead.” Sometimes, the affected area will feel like a bunch of bees buzzing, if you can imagine that as a physical sensation. These periods of numbness can last anywhere from a few minutes to several days."

Increased humidity can be extremely devastating to someone with MS, even when the ambient temperature is fairly mild. Increased humidity alone is enough to raise our body temperatures and bring about a worsening of symptoms."

"Sometimes, I explain managing my MS like working a second job. Only, I do it at the same time as my everyday job. I often plan, replan, and restructure my schedule to make room for my MS needs. I find that dealing with my symptoms takes much longer than I would have liked. And for this job, I feel like I am the one paying instead of getting paid."
