I work with people who want to use natural healing methods to restore and maintain health and wholeness. Natural methods take advantage of the person's innate ability to heal and work with all aspects of the individual -- body, mind, and spirit. Holistic healing modalities thus offer the possibility of getting to the root of imbalances, rather than just addressing symptoms, while empowering the person on his or her own path to wellness. Together, the holistic healing arts that I practice allow me to offer options for a wide range of health goals. I have worked with people wanting assistance with digestion, chronic conditions such as autoimmune diseases and diabetes, back pain and other body pain, concussions and other head injuries, TMJ, migraines, headaches, stress, anxiety, depression, low energy, insomnia, asthma, allergies, menstrual cycle issues, and many other conditions.

Ayurveda is the traditional healing science of India. Ayurveda offers a holistic approach focused on helping people live long, healthy, and well-balanced lives. Ayurveda focuses on maintaining and restoring health by achieving balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through diet, lifestyle, herbal remedies, cleansing practices, and yoga. Like Ayurveda, yoga encompasses many practices designed to promote the health of the body, mind, and spirit. Consistent with the traditions of Ayurveda and yoga, I develop individual programs for each person based on his or her unique constitution and on any imbalances that the individual may be experiencing. Recommendations can be drawn from all facets of Ayurveda and classical yoga, such as diet and nutrition, daily routine and lifestyle, herbal formulas, yoga postures, cleansing practices (pancha karma and shat karma), breathing practices (pranayama), deep relaxation, meditation, yoga nidra, and marma work.

Tibetan Cranial® is an ancient healing tradition from the Himalayan highlands. Known traditionally as "Thoba Khujatag," it is a disciplined technique designed to realign and restore our innate capacity for self-healing. Tibetan Cranial helps the body correct its own imbalances so that it can heal itself. Sophisticated pulse readings provide the means to deliver the most appropriate treatment. During the session, the practitioner works on the head and neck, using pulses to help the body achieve optimal balance. Unlike many other systems, Tibetan Cranial does not focus on a specific disease or diagnosis, but aids in restoring overall balance. Because the work helps to restore the person's own ability to regain balance, people have reported relief from a wide variety of symptoms. Many people with various symptoms (headaches, migraines, back and neck pain, anxiety, head injury, TBI, stress-related conditions, depression, many nervous-system related issues, and more) particularly enjoy TC.

Thai yoga massage is an ancient form of bodywork with deep roots in Ayurveda and yoga. It addresses the whole person through therapeutic techniques for muscles and connective tissues, stretching, energy work, acupressure, reflexology, and other methods, resulting in deep relaxation and healing. Sessions can be target specific areas of pain or discomfort, or can focus on overall relaxation. The depth of work can vary as desired, with techniques for deep tissue massage and myofascial release, as well as for gentler pressure. Hot compresses, with herbs believed to be anti-inflammatory and analgesic, can be used to relax the muscles and the nervous system. A hallmark of Thai yoga massage is passive stretching, with the therapist placing the receiver in various positions that recall yoga poses, to help open the body. Flexibility and yoga experience are not required: those who lack flexibility can benefit greatly precisely because of the unique use of stretching combined with other techniques.

Reiki is a modern name for ancient systems of healing. It involves the placement of hands on or near the recipient in order to bring balance to the recipient. Studies indicate that Reiki can help with fatigue, pain, and stress. If nothing else, a session typically leaves the recipient feeling calm and peaceful.
