I love this product to clean everything in my house. As a demo for others. . . I ask, "Would you drink your toilet bowl cleaner?" Most people answer very quickly and emphatically, "NO!" When I ask, "Why not?" They reply, "Because it contains toxic chemicals!" They are so right! But I would tell them, "This is what I use to clean my toilets, but it is safe enough for me to do this. . ." and I would then spray it in my mouth! They are shocked and want to know more.

Thieves is known to boost the immune system, so not only do I use this Household Cleaner product to clean everything, but I use it to help freshen the air as well. Did you know that any product with the term "fragrance" on its label can mean it contains up to 3,000 undisclosed chemicals--many of which are allergens, hormone disruptors, or synthetic? Stop using the scented candles, air fresheners, and plug-ins. If you are using these things, and experience headaches or sluggishness, it could be because of these products!

My daughter was a part of a small high school robotics team that competed very well against other teams that had many more students on them. Since we were so small, we met everyday after school and on the weekends, and had to ensure students stayed healthy, because if one got sick, the entire team might get sick and put us out of commission (there were only 6 weeks to build the robot). I sprayed the rooms where we would gather with this Thieves product each day before students would congregate. Nobody ever got sick during the build or competition season! Not only does it help the room smell better, but it improves everyone's immune system too!

Do you ever have those days when you feel that everything is going right, and nothing can stop you? You've got your act together, and then things come tumbling down. . . literally? That's what happened to me just under a month ago. I was excited to be getting ready to go to a Convention out of state, and wanted to organize the house a bit before leaving. I got a carload of things to donate to Goodwill, and made my way over there. The helper met me, and I decided to remove the king size comforter that was inside a bag in the back seat. Well, the bag was stuck on top of a printer that I was also donating. When I pulled on the bag, the printer wound up falling on my shin and ankle. The helper went crazy, trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation. He said, "that has got to hurt!" He went to get bandages and alcohol. I stayed calm, and watched a goose egg bump form in seconds. I grabbed for whatever oil I had in my purse. This picture was taken before I applied the oil. Once I applied the oil, the wound started to bleed (just slightly) which would have helped cleanse the area. The pain stopped almost immediately, and the swelling dissipated in about half an hour. As you can see, I am healing nicely. Boy, that was embarrassing! Slowed me down a bit! Tell me if you've ever had something like that happen.

This is a picture of my dearly departed cat, Misty. We picked her up at a farm when she was 6 weeks old, along with her partner in crime, Hercules, an orangey cream tabby, who was 8 weeks old, from another farm on the same day. Hercules lived to be 17 1/2 years old, and Misty lived to be 19 1/2. It is almost a year ago that we bid adieu to Misty. She and Hercules were lifelong buddies.

Did you know that a cat's sense of smell is up to 20x stronger than a human's sense of smell? It's no wonder that when I started using essential oils, that if I opened up a bottle of oil in the same room as them, they would run away to escape! Well, I have to tell you that one day, I diffused a combination of 3 essential oil blends (Christmas Spirit, Citrus Fresh, and Valor--don't ask me why I chose those, I just wanted to see what it smelled like), and Hercules plopped himself below the diffuser taking in deep breaths, and seemingly saying "Ahhhhh" after each third deep breath! It was the first time he actually enjoyed the oils. He never ran away when I opened a new bottle of oil again, because he felt the benefits from the oils. By the way, I forgot to tell you that even though he was a big strong muscular cat at 17 pounds, he was a true scaredy cat! Well, I think it was the Valor that gave him courage! After I learned how to do Raindrop Technique (a massage with the oils), I modified it for my cats. After Hercules received his first "treatment," he would not allow me to go to sleep at night if he didn't receive his kitty Raindrop! It is interesting how essential oils can make people and animals feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Here you see Misty seated in close proximity to my diffuser. She enjoyed the oils as well. I think everyday use of essential oils is part of the reason both cats lived a long healthy life! What is your favorite scent/smell and why? Is it a flower of some sort, something found in nature, a food, a baked good? Why? What is associated by that smell? Does it remind you of when you were a child? Is it associated with a special event? After I receive some answers, I will share mine, but I do not want to direct the answers received by sharing mine right away.
