“I’ve been a Speech Language Pathologist for 25 years. I began my career in skilled nursing facilities primarily in the New Orleans area for 18 years including 5 years as a Director of Rehab. Feeling the strong desire to return to direct patient care, I changed settings to home health. I’ve been with Amedisys home health for 7 years initially beginning in Biloxi, MS and transferring to Alexandria shortly after to be closer to family. My passion is helping people in their home obtain their communication, swallowing, and cognitive goals. I love the fact that I am providing patients with the care they otherwise wouldn’t receive due to physical and/or cognitive barriers that impact their ability to safely leave home. By performing meaningful and personally relevant activities in their home environment often results in the patient being able to return to a lifestyle with improved safety, quality of life, and independence. Achieving these outcomes is extremely rewarding and motivating. My interests include spending time outdoors, LSU and New Orleans Saints football, dog lover, and spending time with family and friends.”
