Unlocking the Future of Liver Safety 💊

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is one of the most unpredictable forms of hepatic disease, with patient responses varying widely.
Led by Professor Takanori Takebe, MD, PhD, Endowed Chair of Organoid Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and deputy director of WPI-PRIMe at Osaka University, this seminar is proposing an integrative pre-clinical approach that combines patient-derived and engineered human tissues using cutting-edge technologies like:

✔️ Comprehensive genomics
✔️ Gene editing
✔️ Induced pluripotent stem cells
✔️ Organoids

By introducing population-based organoid systems, Dr. Takebe wants to uncover why some individuals are more susceptible than others, accelerating the future of precision hepatotoxicology.
