Last week, we released our first official global guideline on geriatric assessment of older patients with cancer who are being treated in resource-limited settings or countries. The goal of the new guideline is to help address the rising burden of cancer among older adults in low- and middle-income countries and to jumpstart geriatric oncology programs in areas of the world where such research is sparse.
