A few years back, one of our staff members, Kristina, came up with the idea of having an annual Pizza Party for our friends at Homestead of Algona Memory Care. This has become such a special day! Kristina, Jill and your friends enjoyed Premier Pizza, breadsticks and dessert, after we played trivia, danced, listened to Elvis, and played beanbag toss. The highlight of the day was definitely our visit from our Seton Preschool friends. They sang songs and did a fun craft. It is so heartwarming to see the happiness these young children bring when they visit. One of our friends who lives at Homestead said not only did this make her day it made her entire year!

Congratulations to the Midwest All-Music Association 2025 Hall of Fame inductees, Big John and Connie Pedersen! All of us at Homestead of Algona are honored to know them and have them share their musical talent with us. We had a fabulous Monday afternoon, listening to great music with John and Connie, and catching up in conversation afterwards while enjoying hot coffee and chocolate chip cookie bars.

Jill and some friends from Homestead of Algona enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the Wilcox Performing Arts Center 🎶

The Cornerstone Praise Community Choir did a fabulous job, striving to bring joy and hope to people's hearts, and they definitely did that! Ole and Lena had their first live performance in the Algona Community, bringing much laughter and entertainment. The outstanding Glenn Henriksen brought his amazing talent, making it a delightful day for all of us!

The Algona Homeschool friends came for a visit! We had fun making fall themed sun catchers and sharing stories with our visitors!

When asked what he likes best about living at Homestead of Algona, Arlo said that he loves all his friends that live and work here. He said he also loves all the people we have come here to sing. Arlo loves playing Bingo and being involved in any and all activities and is a good friend to everyone!
