National Good Neighbor Day is celebrated annually on September 28. We acknowledged this day by having our daily devotional focused on living out the biblical "love your neighbor as yourself" command through acts of service and community building, such as praying for your neighbors, offering practical help, listening to each other's stories, inviting everyone to share in activities, and simply saying hello with a smile and being kind to one another. Thank you to Pastor Henry for leading our daily devotional, that made it extra special. It was a meaningful morning.

🚗✨ Homestead of Algona’s First Annual Car Show Was a Success! ✨🚗

We were thrilled to welcome 32 registered cars to our very first show!

A huge shout-out to Jared with Mojo Productions for donating his time and expertise to help us make this event possible, and to Mike for doing an outstanding job directing parking all the cars.

Thank you to our amazing staff and residents for helping with judging and making sure everything ran smoothly. And of course, a big thank you to Citrus Crave, Titanium Lunchbox, and Burrito Mexpress for serving up delicious food and beverages throughout the day.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s show and making it even bigger and better!

During our Assisted Living Week Celebration, we displayed a free-will donation jar, where all proceeds were to be given to the Kossuth County Dementia Support Group. We're happy to announce that we raised $200 for this amazing organization that is near and dear to our heart! The Kossuth County Dementia Support Group is open to everyone! They meet the first Monday of every month in our Activity Room starting at 5:30 PM. We encourage all to attend!
