☀️ A Beautiful Day for a Bus Ride! ☀️

On this day, we loaded up the bus and enjoyed a relaxing ride through the countryside, taking in the sunshine, blooming flowers, and beautiful views along the way. There was plenty of conversation, laughter, and reminiscing as we enjoyed the sights together.

Jessica is our Executive Director at Homestead of Algona. For over a decade, Jessica has worn many hats with grace, compassion, and dedication. Her caring heart, leadership, and love for our residents have helped make our Community the warm and welcoming place it is today.

The kindness she shows, the relationships she has built, the lives touched, none of this goes unnoticed. We are thankful for all she does and the joy she brings. We were excited to celebrate her special milestone with a bright, beautiful flamingo bouquet gift.🦩

Earlier this month, Rachel Schulz with St. Croix Hospice hosted an educational Hospice Hour at Homestead of Algona. St. Croix provided the donuts that everyone enjoyed with their coffee. St Croix Hospice will be hosting two more Educational Hospice Hours on July 7th and August 4th at 10:00 AM, discussing a new topic each time. Families, friends, and the public are welcome to stop by. Come and enjoy some hot coffee and a treat!🍵

🚌A wonderful afternoon filled with music, smiles, and friendship! Some of your friends from Homestead of Algona took the bus to the Senior Center to enjoy the incredible music by Steve Lang. His talent, warm personality, and familiar songs always bring joy to everyone!🎸

We were happy to snap a picture together with Steve after the performance. We appreciate him sharing his gift and making our day so special! 📸

💇‍♀️ Hair day is one of the BEST days! All of our staff enjoy pampering your friends at Homestead of Algona, helping them to feel confident, cared for, and beautiful! 🪮

When Ann saw a picture of this braided hairstyle, she told Kristina she wanted her hair done just like it. Kristina went to work and asked Brittany if she could do this. The results are wonderful, and Ann looks amazing. The pretty hairstyle goes perfectly with her beautiful smile. 💛

This time, the discussion about how birds survive through the changing seasons was both fascinating and fun. The ladies from the nature center have such a wonderful way of making nature come alive through their knowledge, stories, and passion for wildlife. It is a beautiful reminder that we never stop learning, no matter our age. Curiosity keeps the mind active, the heart engaged, and life meaningful!🌻
